Ashley began practicing Pilates at age 14 as a form of cross-training for ballet. She later attended Florida State University’s School of Dance, where she assisted conditioning coach Dr. Thomas Welsh in rehabilitating injured dancers within the BFA program. After graduating summa cum laude, she completed her Balanced Body Pilates Reformer certification in 2020, along with a certification in PyroPilates.
Ashley has taught at Club Pilates Fairfield (Connecticut), New York Pilates (SoHo, West Village, and Flatiron), and East River Pilates (Brooklyn). She has also served as a guest instructor at Lucky Honey’s retail headquarters and is currently a Reformer instructor at Elevate Pilates in Hoboken, New Jersey. Drawing on her background as a professional dancer, Ashley specializes in body mechanics and enjoys working with movers of all levels including dancers, athletes, artists, and individuals recovering from injury. She designs her sessions around the foundational principles of Pilates, prioritizing precision, safety, and sustainable challenge.
In addition to her Pilates training, Ashley holds an ICF-accredited certification in Neuro-Somatic Intelligence Coaching. She incorporates this knowledge into her teaching to further cultivate the mind-body connection.
Ashley is currently completing her Master of Arts in Motor Learning and Control at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she is deepening her understanding of neuroanatomy, motor learning, and skill acquisition to further inform her teaching practice.
Her goal is for clients to leave each session feeling physically accomplished, mentally restored, and deeply connected to themselves. Ashley is passionate about fostering community and creating a supportive environment where clients feel safe to grow and expand their capacities both in and beyond the studio.
