Cecilia Jung _ founder
Cecilia Jung is the founder of Cosmo Pilates Movement Lab, a BASI-certified Pilates instructor, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Long Island University. She earned her M.A. in Motor Learning & Control from Teachers College, Columbia University.
Her work is grounded in a deep understanding of how people learn to move and how strength can be rebuilt through precise, attentive practice. She designs sessions that support posture, gait, and coordination while respecting each person's unique history, body, and goals. She is particularly interested in helping clients restore confident movement after injury, manage chronic conditions, and develop sustainable strength over time.
Her teaching is deeply influenced by exceptional mentors, including Sondra Karmen, Lesley Powell, Karen Clippinger, Samantha Wood, and Ashley Ritchie, whose guidance has shaped her clinical reasoning, movement perspective, and deep respect for lifelong learning. She remains grateful to the many other teachers who continue to inform and inspire her work.
When she is not teaching, Cecilia is usually learning something new, experimenting in the kitchen, or quietly being amazed by nature.
